To drive hotel revenue securing and increasing the productivity of existing accounts. Develop the necessary market segments by executing strategies agreed by the GC&E Manager and the Director of Sales.
Planning and Organising:
Run a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service and keep a pre-event arrival experience up to the standards (i.e. close menus, attendees, program, rooming list and link if needed)
Follows the Team performance on necessary procedures for the pre, during and post event.
Review together with the operations team the BEO and run the pre-con with the client and team members involved.
Build strong relationships with the group leader by being present from the time the file is passed by the converting team (i.e. review all the needed services, run morning briefings and evening debriefs with the group leader, run exit meeting to finalise the invoicing)
Actively be in touch with the operations team on daily bases to ensure the event items are prepare and the event runs smoothly.
Enter rooming lists with accurate routings & traces. Enter and update all group rooming lists in OnQ PM and, check and fix the room block in OnQ R&I.
Follow up with meeting planners e.g. Chase for rooming lists, menu choices, deposit payments, agenda…
Prepares VIP arrivals (meeting planners) and makes sure all departments concerned are aware of their arrival and welcomes Meeting Planners.
Welcome VIPs of the groups
Participating in pre-event site inspections and/or pre-con meetings.
Attending BEOs Meeting 1 day/week, to inform individually about the planification of each group with the people involved of other departments, including the General Manager.
Groups & Events Management:
Accurately makes uses of the tools provided and uses these to secure business
Develop customer accounts within key clients to increase market share and assure repeat business.
Negotiate room rates with clients. Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions.
Customer Relationships:
Keeps Hotel information relating to customer requirements, interests and market activities up to date using Hilton procedures
Reviews customer base to determine new opportunities for account penetration
Liaises with Director of Sales to review the effectiveness of sales activities
Contributes ideas to improve the products and services offered.
Administration:
Keep CRM constantly up to date with account and opportunity information
Compliant with all systems, procedures and Sales best practice as laid down by Hilton Worldwide.
Ensure that all activities are in compliance with national laws and regulations, and Hilton Worldwide’s operating policies, processes and systems.
General other responsibilities:
Be a ‘Brand Ambassador’ of Hilton Worldwide by leading by example
Attend all relevant training and development activities as required
Flexible attitude
Previous experience of driving Sales to achieve business targets
Previous experience of being an integral member of a business leadership team
High level of selling capability and an ability and desire to improve selling techniques to drive revenue to the hotel.
