About the Job
The Claims and Retail DevOps Senior is a seasoned professional with more than 10 years of experience in the IT industry. This role is responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing the DevOps Methodologies, Architecture and Tooling.
The Claims and Retail DevOps Senior Lead also needs to manage the different stakeholders to ensure that the Retail and Claims Applications can be handled in the proposed architecture, ensure the reliability, monitoring, security and stability of the platform. Also needs to be up to date of new methodologies, tooling and different cloud strategies.
What you do
• Design and ensure platform architecture scalability, reliability and adherence to security policies and compliance standards, applying necessary security patches and updates.
• Monitor application and platform performance, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for performance enhancement.
• Respond to incidents related to applications and platforms, manage backup and recovery processes and ensure data integrity and availability during system failures.
• Provide technical support to end-users, develop and maintain user documentation and training materials, and automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional teams, develop strategic IT initiatives, manage large-scale infrastructure projects and drive continuous improvements with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
• Manage and mentor multiple teams of experts, including Sys admin, IT Ops & App Ops engineers and DevOps specialists, leveraging over 10 years of industry experience.
• Oversee IT operations budget, report to stakeholders, ensure compliance with regulations and monitor industry trends to drive innovation and maintain competitive edge.
What you bring
• Strong knowledge of IT applications, software and system operations with strong understanding of IT compliance and risk management.
• Leadership and team management skills as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure and the ability to keep up with the latest technology trends and innovations.
• Good knowledge of ITIL framework
• Proven track record of managing large budgets and resources effectively.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in IT Application and Platform operations.
