Job Description
We are searching for an enthusiastic Field Application Engineer engaged in providing presales advice and best in class technical service to our DATA CENTER SOLUTIONS customers and distributors. The main scope for the role is managing end to end commissioning projects being able to deal with project managers, end user and the different stakeholders. He/She will also assist other recurrent customers. He/She will be also work closely with sales team to provide technical assistance in tendering and big projects.
This role requires to travel and be flexible based on customer’s needs. Fluent English and knowledge about UPS ´systems is a must. Main tasks are:
- On site support in big Data Center projects, dealing with technical issues specially diagnostics/troubleshooting for critical cases and customer´s training.
- In the lab replication of failures, simulations and testing.
- You will be responsible for overall service-related technical documentation used in EMEA, definition of scope of service jobs for each product (installation/commissioning/annual maintenance), spare parts list with substitution matrix.
- Initiation of on-site interventions and creation of adequate repair instructions and determination of required spare parts, on-site job monitoring.
- Commercial mind-set: Orientation to customer satisfaction.
- Support channel partners on identifying and solving technical problems related to TPS and TDC products/solutions.
- Analysis and Feedback Reports on technical/support visits and findings
- Training of partners and customers
- Support the prototyping and internal tests. Modification/customization of standard products.
- Building up hardware system configuration using standard modules/assemblies.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge about Data Center ecosystem and applications.
- Minimum five years’ experience working directly in the Spanish market.
- Knowledge about UPS´s systems and solutions.
- Technical degrees (industrial engineering, electronic engineering, material engineering etc.).
- Experience in commissioning and project management will be desirable.
- Knowledge of cooling technologies for Data Centers is a plus.
- Sales orientation and end to end knowledge of solution selling process.
- Strong experience on maintaining relationships with big accounts.
- Strong interpersonal communication with a team-oriented approach.
