We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer – Franchise in our Madrid, London or Milan office.
Role overview
As a Buyer for the Franchise business, you will lead the end-to-end seasonal buying process across multiple partners and markets. You will define the regional assortment strategy, translate global product direction into localized assortments, and drive commercial growth through strong analysis, market knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the seasonal buying process from strategy to execution for Franchise partners across more than 15 countries, ensuring alignment with global direction and regional opportunities.
- Define localized assortments by partner, channel and market, ensuring commercial viability and brand consistency.
- Lead and participate in seasonal market appointments and sales presentations, both virtually and in our Milan showroom.
- Analyze historical data and in-season performance to recommend reorders, swaps and stock optimization opportunities.
- Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams (Planning, Merchandising, VM, Marketing, CS, Ops) to ensure execution of the seasonal strategy.
- Prepare and deliver seasonal hindsight reports and commercial feedback to internal stakeholders and global teams.
- Maintain and update OTB and order recap tools, ensuring accuracy in pricing, style details and product lifecycle.
- Monitor FGPO shipment timelines and proactively resolve issues with partners and internal teams to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Guide and mentor Assistant / Junior Buyers, sharing knowledge and supporting their development.
- Act as a key point of contact for Franchise partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment with MK brand vision and business goals.
- Support marketing initiatives and campaign product selections, ensuring alignment with product availability and buying strategy.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years of experience in a buying role, preferably in fashion
- Strong analytical and numerical skills; advanced Excel required
- Commercial mindset with a strong understanding of product and trends
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with international teams and partners
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
- Experience in franchise, wholesale or international markets preferred
- Flexible, proactive and solution-oriented with a team-player attitude
