Job Title

Health & Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

Joint Prevention Service

  • Develop and implement Amadeus' Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Policy and Prevention Plans;
  • Execute initiatives from the annual health and safety plan and ensure compliance through periodic audits;
  • Provide employees with health and safety training and raise awareness about healthy workplace habits;
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor strategic goals;
  • Update health and safety processes and procedures with the Building and Facilities team;
  • Manage contracts and invoices for health and safety services (e.g., external prevention, medical service, emergency equipment).

Health Surveillance

  • Organize initial and periodic health checks with external prevention services;
  • Support employees with occupational health queries;
  • Implement health campaigns (e.g., visual health, cardiovascular screenings, flu vaccinations);
  • Analyze health check records to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Workplace Safety

  • Conduct internal workplace risk assessments and implement preventive measures;
  • Coordinate psychosocial risk assessments and collaborate to address issues;
  • Perform health and safety inspections and monitor workplace environmental conditions;
  • Manage work-related accidents, including investigation and reporting;
  • Oversee emergency management, updating Emergency Plans, coordinating emergency teams, and participating in drills;
  • Act as the local contact for BeSafe, coordinating emergency communication and annual tests.

Health & Safety Strategy for Spain & Portugal

  • Integrate health and safety into the organization, working with local health and safety committees and business partners;
  • Identify synergies to improve efficiency across Spain and Portugal;
  • Lead the Health and Safety team, ensuring task execution, team alignment, and professional development.

About the ideal candidate:

  • Master’s degree in occupational health and safety;
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position;
  • Team management experience;
  • English proficiency;
  • Corporate workplace environment;
  • Great communication skills;
  • Good level of skills in MS Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Forms, SharePoint, Power Automate and Power Apps as a plus.
