IRB Barcelona seeks to recruit a junior Project Manager (Research Assistant) to join the lab of Dr. Núria López-Bigas.
We are looking for a motivated individual with teamwork skills to join Dr. Núria López-Bigas team focused on the study of cancer from a genomics perspective. The lab is particularly interested in the study of mutational processes in human cells, the identification of cancer driver mutations, genes and pathways across tumor types, and the study of their potential as therapeutic targets. We are developing bioinformatics tools with translational applications in precision oncology. The candidate will perform scientific project management tasks within the EU collaborative projects of the Group.

Key responsibilities
- Work efficiently and cooperatively with a team of researchers in support of projects.
- Support the implementation of EU-Funded project coordinated by IRB Barcelona, particularly supporting the management.
- Support the Internal and external communication and the coordination of the project (Organise meetings...)
- Reporting preparation, monitor tasks and milestones, contribute to related Deliverables.
- Support on ethical procedures
- Manage and monitor the development of an educational tool for patients.
- Support and monitor the implementation of the project in collaborations.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Manage the organisation of annual meetings
You have
- Prior experience in Coordinated European Projects.
- Graduate degree in biology, biochemistry or related areas. Master in Health and Science Management or similar.
- Strong enthusiasm for developing new skills and expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Candidates should have the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team, and possess excellent organisation skills.
You might also have
- Prior experience in European Projects in the field of Health and Cancer, prior experience in Hospital environment.
- Experience in EU reporting and organisation of consortium meetings.
- Regualtory and bioethics knowledge
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
