The Insurance Risk and Finance Research Centre (IRFRC) at the Nanyang Business School (NBS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidates will be working and interacting with researchers at IRFRC and GAIP, with emphasis on:
- Develop models and forecasts for pandemic risk, mortality, and morbidity rates in Asian countries.
- Collect data from various public sources.
- Conduct a comprehensive literature survey to underpin the development of risk financing solutions.
- Generate high-quality research articles and industry reports.
- Present research findings effectively to GAIP sponsors and the academic community.
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Insurance, Statistics, or related fields
- Proven research experience with a track record of publications in top-tier journals in the field
- Relevant insurance/actuarial industry experience and actuarial designations are assets, but not are not mandatory requirements
- The successful candidate should also demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly effectiveness in communicating complex concepts to the public, and attention to detail
