Position:
As Purchasing Manager, you will be entering a role brand new to the company, getting the opportunity to really make it your own. You will play a vital role in building out the Purchasing department, providing support to the supply chain manager and being the voice of expertise to other departments across the globe as we continue to scale and enter new markets.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing procurement activities for raw materials, packaging, and services in compliance with GMP and internal quality standards.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- Collaborating with Quality Assurance, Production, and Regulatory departments to ensure supplier compliance.
- Monitoring inventory levels and forecasting purchasing needs.
- Evaluating supplier performance and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and traceability of all purchasing activities.
Requirements:
A new role requires a new, fresh outlook; it is essential you are dynamic, optimistic, and have an agile approach to work, not being afraid to give ideas and think outside of the box to keep the team and the company improving. You must have:
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments internationally.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven background in finding new suppliers and managing prices.
Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you have:
- Solid understanding of GMP regulations and procurement best practices.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
- Higher education in a relevant subject.
- Knowledge of any other languages.
