Job Description
A Sector Initiative powered by EcoVadis is a group of companies in the same or related industries, sharing similar sustainability challenges and values, and deeply engaged in collectively driving sustainability impact in their collective supply chains. Sector Initiative members engage in a collective forum for best practice sharing in an anti-collusion protected setting and engage in specific sustainability workstreams, such as decarbonization or human rights, with a clear objective of increasing supplier network performance. As a Sector Initiative Program Manager, you will be the strategic and operational leader for 2-3 sector initiatives. You will serve as a trusted partner to member companies and key stakeholders, driving sustainable growth, nurturing C-level relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of high-impact programs within an industry’s supply chain.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic and Operational Leadership: Lead the strategic direction and daily operations of assigned sector initiatives, ensuring all milestones are met and targeted outcomes are achieved.
- Relationship and Network Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with C-level executives (CPOs, CSOs) to drive advocacy and align with their vision. Collaborate with ecosystem partners and internal teams to expand the supplier network.
- Member Engagement: Prepare for, moderate, and follow up on all member meetings, working groups, and executive councils. Use project management & stakeholder moderation skills to ensure timely and effective coordination.
- Account Growth and Management: Create and manage Sector Initiative plans with clear strategic visions and milestones. Work closely with the sales organization and internal account managers to expand memberships and scale the shared network.
- Industry Expertise: Become an industry expert, staying informed about market environments and cutting-edge sustainability trends. Partner with top sustainability leaders on innovative projects.
- Performance and Reporting: Implement sustainability KPIs across the Sector Initiative members to measure progress and impact. Conduct regular internal efficiency reporting to track key outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively across internal departments (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing) to achieve key outcomes for your portfolio. Support the incubation of new sector initiatives.
Qualifications
- 6 - 8 years experience in sustainability consulting, strategic partnerships, program direction, and/or account management acquired in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and/or exposure to procurement and/or supply chain is a major asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present to executive-level groups.
- Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted, multi-stakeholder projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth.
- Perseverance and diplomacy.
- Curious, self-driven, results-oriented, and team player.
- Computer literate (MS Office, Google Suite, Project management tools, Salesforce, Tableau, etc.).
- Ready to embrace A.I. in your daily work.
- Interest to work in an international and multicultural environment.
- Passion for sustainability.
- Bachelor's Degree required; a Master’s degree in a relevant field (Sustainability, Supply Chain, etc.) is an asset.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); one additional language is a plus but not mandatory.
