Job Description
We’re hiring a Senior Android Engineer to join the Quick Commerce Global Services team, powering Delivery Hero - based in Glovo, Barcelona.
YOUR MISSION
In this role, you’ll be part of a central team within Delivery Hero’s Global Services unit, shaping solutions that serve our entire global ecosystem, and your work will drive impact across Delivery Hero’s regional brands worldwide. You’ll be working with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions that enhance customer experiences and operational excellence on a global scale. It’s a unique opportunity to combine Glovo’s vibrant, fast-paced culture with the reach and complexity of one of the world’s largest local delivery platforms.
THE JOURNEY
Work on a platform that helps local businesses around the world with their daily tasks in a seamless and efficient way
Make impactful decisions and take ownership of them, while demonstrating collaborative problem-solving skills
Ensure high code quality, testing, and engineering best practices, and overall product performance
Develop multi-module applications to ensure code reusability and maintainability
Write comprehensive unit tests and instrumental tests to ensure product quality and reliability
Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment process
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development, and share knowledge within the team
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
At least 5 years of experience in developing Android applications
Native mobile app development experience using Kotlin
Strong foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design)
Solid experience with Coroutines and Flow
Strong understanding of Room for local data storage and caching
Expertise in writing unit tests
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes
Full professional English proficiency
