Senior Data Engineer (Application Management) – EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide daily Application Management Support for the full data stack (Informatica CDI, ADF, ADLS, Databricks), addressing service requests, incidents, enhancements, and changes.
- Lead and coordinate resolution of complex data integration and analytics issues through thorough root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support and optimize data pipelines, models, and dashboards.
- Maintain detailed documentation including architecture diagrams, troubleshooting guides, and test cases.
- Remain flexible for perform from time to tme on-call duties depending on client needs and critical business periods.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related) or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience working across modern data ecosystems, with hands-on proficiency in:
- Informatica CDI for data ingestion and transformation
- Azure Data Factory (ADF) for pipeline orchestration
- Azure Data Lake (ADLS) for cloud storage and data lake architecture
- Databricks for large-scale data processing (SQL, PySpark, and Delta Lake)
- Experience providing application management support (incident resolution, enhancements, monitoring, and optimization).
- Strong root cause analysis skills across data pipelines, storage layers, and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder collaboration skills to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Solid understanding of data governance, performance tuning, and cloud-based data architecture best practices.
- Experience in global delivery models and distributed teams.
- Flexibility in managing work hours due to the volatile nature of Application Management work including ability to being on call from time to time for critical business requirements.
- Professional/ Native fluency in Italian to facilitate communication within local and global teams.
- Professional proficiency in English (at least B2)
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience integrating data from a variety of sources including ERP, CRM, POS, and third-party APIs.
- Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD pipelines in a data engineering context.
- Experience in industries such as retail, finance, or consumer goods.
- Certifications such as Informatica Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer
- Professional proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
