The Opportunity

We seek an experienced and highly motivated DevOps Manager to lead and manage our DevOps team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in software development, infrastructure management, automation, and excellent leadership and communication skills. As a DevOps Manager, you will be essential in optimizing our development and deployment processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Led and mentored a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
  • Manage team assignments, task prioritization, and workload distribution to ensure successful project execution.

DevOps Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, Operations) to define and refine DevOps processes and workflows.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of DevOps initiatives and track progress.

Infrastructure and Deployment Management:

  • Oversee cloud infrastructure design, provisioning, configuration, and management (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines for applications.
  • Ensure production systems' high availability, security, and scalability by implementing best practices and industry standards.

Automation and Tooling:

  • Drive the implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager templates (ARM) to automate provisioning and configuration.
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate new tools and technologies that improve the efficiency of the DevOps processes.
  • Promote continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline software delivery.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

  • Establish monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and operational issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization.
  • Conduct regular system performance evaluations and make recommendations for infrastructure upgrades or optimizations.

Security and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures, including identity and access management, data protection, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Implement and carry out security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Strong experience (10+ years) in a DevOps role, with a strong software development and system administration background.
  • Experience managing and leading technical teams.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM, Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, version control systems, and build automation.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (Azure Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
