Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to oversee the onboard retail operations on international cruise ships. This is a dynamic leadership role focused on delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience while meeting commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the onboard retail team and daily shop operations
Drive sales and service performance, ensuring customer satisfaction and high standards
Maintain visual merchandising and uphold brand marketing standards
Oversee logistics including loading, unloading, and stock replenishment
Build strong relationships with guests and collaborate with onboard and shore-based teams
Train, support, and develop a multicultural retail team (attendants, specialists, supervisors)
Prepare sales reports, voyage summaries, and analyze guest feedback
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal policies
Requirements:
Proven experience in retail management and team leadership
Strong sales orientation and customer-focused approach
Skilled in visual merchandising and retail sales strategies
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to lead multicultural teams in a fast-paced environment
Fluent in English (minimum B2 level)
Proficiency in at least one additional European language (B2 level): Italian, French, German, or Spanish
Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems
Entrepreneurial mindset and strong work ethic
Willingness to live and work onboard for 5 months
Must complete the mandatory STCW safety training (approx. 10 days in your passport country)
