WHO ARE WE?
Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.
In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.
YOUR MISSION
As a Space Electronics Engineer, you will join the Embedded HW and SW team and work in collaboration with an assembly of skilled engineers in charge of evolving Sateliot’s space capabilities to provide the first and best NB-IoT NTN service to emerging users around the world. This area is in charge of the design of electronic devices and products for the space segment, as well as support tools (GSE). She or he will be responsible for the design and verification of new electronics for communication products mainly based on embedded systems.
YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Design of satellite electronics devices based on analog and digital electronics
- Design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for space applications, including thorough component selection, schematic creation, layout, and routing. Ensure designs meet stringent space and performance standards.
- Components selection and assistance to procurement.
- Set-up and conduct system-level tests in both simulated and real-world environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party providers to ensure seamless integration and functionality of electronic systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of design and testing processes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing designs and processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience with PCB design software (i.e. Altium Designer).
- Experience in electrical analysis with LT/PSPICE and/or MATLAB
- Experience in power electronics and EMC engineering.
- Experience in developing and executing test procedures for Validation and Verification activities of RF Hardware and processing boards for space applications.
- Experience designing and performing electrical testing for space qualification and characterisation activities (i.e. TVAC, Anechoic Chamber, Vibration table).
- Familiarity with ECSS standards.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party providers.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of design and testing activities.
- Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and shifting priorities.
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with 3GPP standards and NB-IoT NTN requirements is a plus.
- Previous experience in the NewSpace field and/or IoT sector is a plus.
