The role of Specialty Space Design Manager will provide key strategic support to the Global Site Production Manager for all global design and construction projects supporting event spaces for global Meeting & Events. This pivotal role will assist with designing and implementing bar-raising standards while orchestrating complex project timelines across multiple regions as well as building and nurturing critical stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless delivery of all projects.
The ideal candidate for this role possesses knowledge of specialty spaces such as event production venues. In providing strategic support they thrive on delivering measurable results, tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions and demonstrate exceptional project execution skills while maintaining an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Primary Duties / Essential job Functions
Support the Global Site Production Manager to drive team initiatives, implement best practices, and contribute to the achievement of strategic goals and key performance indicators
Conduct comprehensive analyses of customer data on a regular basis to update forecasting for event space requirements, ensuring accurate predictions of future location needs and optimal sizing
Attend and own project meetings with D&C stakeholders, documenting discussions, action items, and decisions through comprehensive notes and trackers for team visibility and alignment
Establish and maintain a stakeholder database within Global Design and Construction teams, facilitating seamless communication and ensuring 100% visibility across all M&E projects
Think Big and assist in developing additional forecasting models by identifying and integrating additional key data points to strategically expand and optimize the M&E portfolio
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Professional-level English language competency in both written and verbal communication with strong grammar and proofreading abilities
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal interactions
Advanced proficiency in architectural documentation systems (CAD, DWG, PDF) and technical drawing interpretation
Strong business mathematics capabilities, including financial analysis, percentages, and profit/loss calculations
Strong leadership and strategic thinking, with proven ability to drive projects and foster collaborative environments
Proven track record of effectively engaging diverse stakeholders, from technical specialists to executive leadership
Adept at working independently, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities
Skilled in process assessment and improvement, with a talent for identifying and implementing organizational enhancements
Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and strategic decision-making in complex business contexts
Proven expertise in process optimization and organizational design, including development of standard operating procedures
Results-driven problem solver with strong execution skills and enthusiasm for project success
Exceptional multitasking capabilities, demonstrated through successful management of concurrent projects
Meticulous attention to detail in communications, documentation, reporting and project delivery
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
Background or experience with event venue operations, live event productions or event technical direction
Corporate event management expertise
Proficiency with Meeting Management technology platforms and digital collaboration tools
3+ years of experience working in the meetings/events industry
5+ years’ experience in facilities management
6+ years’ experience in design and construction
Education:
4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Travel Requirements:
Position involves up to 30% domestic and/or international travel, as necessary.
