The Role

Customer Enterprise Architect

IT Process Models: Analyzing the client's current IT processes, governance and business norms. Providing recommendations to optimize IT processes and decision making, support change initiatives and bring the most value to the business. Conducting business and systems analysis, documenting before and after IT operational process flows for the systems, operations, and management data and for the IT organization and key third party interfaces (e.g. suppliers, customers, vendors). Developing and executing required communication plans and strategies, and envisioning the future for client personas to ease change. This may include expertise in IT Service Management, benchmarking, using reference architectures, change management and industry standards including SIAM (service integration and management), COBIT, IT4IT and relevant ISO and IEEE standards.

Modern Operations: Providing strategies, recommendations and plans for adopting and deploying Modern Operations techniques, including the technologies and the organizational structure to support those technologies. This may include expertise in ComplianceSecOps, DevSecOps, FinOps and ServiceOps.

Business Architecture: Analyzing client's business processes for efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business model. Developing a high-level process model that provides an articulated view of the client's strategic intent and face-to-the-market and describes the logical flow of work done. Determining whether incremental improvement or redesign is required. Assessing current processes for importance, performance, maturity, criticality classification, commonality across locations, placements (in house vs. outsource), technology investment and characteristics (for technology enablement).

Consulting: Determining customers business issues and recommending solutions to drive business value. Using techniques such as issue based consulting and consulting methods. Using an analytical approach to provide strategies, assessments, recommendations and plans to address the issues, while keeping both technical and functional requirements of IT and the business. Using in-depth consulting skills and business knowledge aligned to business objectives, processes, measurements and tools to analyze client business issues, formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to determine appropriate solutions. This may include expertise in methods, issue based consulting technique, workshop design and facilitation, analysis, assessment, initiative planning, and strategic thinking.

Enterprise Architecture: Creating a high level enterprise-wide IT architecture focusing on the mapping of I/T capabilities to business needs. The focus is on defining the relationships, flows, and implementation of business (processes/activities/functions/information), applications, data and technology in the enterprise and the transitional process necessary for implementing technology in response to changing business needs.

Sales: Managing sales processes beyond individual sales to encompass the building and maintaining of strategic relationships with key customers. This may include expertise in account management, business strategies and priorities, portfolio management, complex sales, strategic leadership, customer insights, customer lifecycle management, contract negotiation, customer retention, and key performance indicators.

Security Architecture: Focusing on the design of business-driven Information Technology solutions to meet security requirements related to function, protection, assurance, risk management and compliance. Collecting and validating requirements, identifying risks, threats, vulnerabilities, potential anomalous flows and interactions, defining of the security processes for assurance, management and compliance, defining security subsystems, and designing integration and deployment architectures for security in Networks, Infrastructure, Middleware, Applications and Systems & Service Management systems

Architecture Core: Performing architecture and assuming overall technical responsibility for the success of the proposed solution design, content, construction, and integration in a given infrastructure or industry. Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through comprehensive knowledge of solutions offerings, strategies, and direction as it relates to the client's business, infrastructure, and industry. Using architecture methodologies and applying in-depth knowledge of leading-edge technology solutions with industry and business skills to influence clients and sell Kyndryl solutions.

Communication & Content: Planning, designing, developing, and communicating compelling content to address client issues and solutions, convey topics, ideas, recommendations, and strategies to be conveyed to varying audiences. This may include expertise in content creation, storyboarding, thought leadership, communications in addition to business and IT technical knowledge.

Solutioning: Identifying business challenges and leveraging technical knowledge to create unique solutions focused on value and customer benefit. This may include expertise in product roadmaps, solution design, design thinking, technology solutions, sales engineering, new product development, information technology consulting and technical sales.

Technology Strategy, Development, and Leadership: Gaining an understanding of i) a client's business pressures, priorities, and needs, and ii) their existing infrastructure, applications, and data inventory to create and recommend a technology strategy and transformation roadmap to evolve their existing IT estate in such a way that its future state addresses the client business needs. Modernizing core traditional infrastructure and applications, taking into account a client's cloud strategy, risk appetite, regulatory constraints, skills, budget, and timescale to arrive at an appropriate strategy that remains technically coherent whilst protecting existing business services throughout the transformation journey. Advising on applications, tools, organization, processes, and procedures necessary to support their IT ecosystem in an efficient, secure, and effective manner. Essential capabilities including developing design specifications for the client's strategy using guidance from best practices, other client examples, partners, and reference architectures.
