Financial Control Analyst (m/w/d) – Life Sciences
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Control Analyst to join our dynamic Life Sciences Finance team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, streamline intercompany processes, and contribute to continuous improvement across our multinational operations. You will collaborate closely with finance teams across the US, Germany, Italy, UK, France, and Spain, playing a key role in strategic financial initiatives and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and review account reconciliations and intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Contribute to M&A integration, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Monitor and enhance credit control, AP/AR, sales, and purchasing cycles with attention to tax and cash flow impacts.
- Prepare and review annual accounts to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Act as a primary contact for internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and stakeholders.
- Manage grant and subsidy reporting with accurate documentation.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization using SAP and advanced Excel.
- Actively participate in the SAP S/4HANA migration project from a finance control perspective.
What We’re Looking For
Academic Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial control, accounting, or audit in a multinational environment.
- Proven track record with intercompany transactions, budgeting, and financial audits.
- Experience working across multiple countries, preferably US, Germany, Italy, UK, France, and Spain.
Skills & Competencies
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written); other European languages are a plus.
- Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
