SAI Programs has been curating transformative study abroad experiences for American university students in Italy since 1995. SAI is seeking to fill the position of Housing Manager in Barcelona. This is a full-time position. This position requires some evening and weekend work and availability to assist students with emergencies after-hours.
About You
You are a confident, people-focused leader with proven experience in supported or specialist housing, ideally within the Study Abroad sector.

- Organizational skills - Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage bed assignments and records, balancing preferences, accommodations, and availability. Must be detail-oriented, accurate with large datasets, fair in decision-making, and able to communicate housing decisions clearly and empathetically.
- Experience of budget management.
- Attention to detail - ensuring correct allocation of housing while complying with policies and student needs.
- Communication skills - clear, empathetic, and professional communication in English and Spanish with students, staff, and housing Agencies.
- Problem-solving – handling last-minute housing issues, roommate conflicts, or special accommodation needs.
- Customer service orientation – approachable and supportive with students, especially since they are coming from abroad.
- Cultural sensitivity – understanding American students’ expectations while coordinating housing in Spain.
- Teamwork & collaboration – working with academic staff, admin, and housing providers.
- Adaptability – responding quickly to unexpected housing changes or emergencies.
- Familiarity with Barcelona and its neighborhoods
Essential Tools: Software Proficiency
- CRM (HubSpot, or similar) – managing student data, housing assignments, and communication workflows.
- Microsoft Office / Google Workspace – Excel/Sheets (bed & student allocation tracking), Word/Docs (documentation, contracts), Gmail (communication).
- Survey / Form Tools – Google Forms, Typeform, or similar to collect student housing preferences and feedback.
Office hours: Monday to Thursday, 10:00am to 6:30pm, Friday 10:00am to 5:00pm
