- Either project manages Medical Affairs specialists or acts as a regional expert on one or more products, markets or Therapy Areas
- Ensures effective collaboration between the areas of Medical Affairs
- Provides, as an expert, strategic scientific support on processes and projects within area of expertise
- May oversees the launch of new clinical trials and/or clinical market access projects
- Represents the Medical Affairs function at external events
- Networks with colleagues, healthcare professionals and key stakeholders to provide expert guidance and consultancy
- Oversees and delivers education and training to employees within Medical Affairs

- 2 or 3 countries at a minimum of 40% of time
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Essential: Bachelor’s Degree; Extensive experience of Medical Affairs within a pharmaceutical industry; Project and relationship management experience
- Desirable: Advanced scientific or medical degree; Understanding of multiple aspects within Medical Affairs; Extensive knowledge of the latest technical and regulatory developments
Key Relationship to reach solutions:
- Internal (to AZ or team): Management within Medical Affairs; Market Access and Compliance Teams; Sales and marketing functions
- External (to AZ): Service Providers; Regulatory bodies; Local or regional stakeholders; Healthcare professionals
