This is our first People hire in Europe. You won’t just “support HR.” You’ll own hiring, performance, and people operations across our European org — starting with our design, biz dev, and ops teams in Barcelona and London.

What You’ll Own
1. Hiring with Urgency & Precision
Lead full-cycle hiring for our European teams (design, sales, ops)
Work directly with founders and team leads to define roles, standards, and ideal profiles
Build scrappy but effective sourcing processes, from referrals to outbound
Drive bar-raising assessments and decisive, fast hiring loops
2. Performance Management with Teeth

Implement structured performance reviews — not for formality, but for clarity and accountability
Help managers become great leaders through feedback, 1:1s, and tight execution
Identify performance gaps early and help drive tough, fair decisions
3. Culture Building with Intent
Codify and scale our values in Europe — Champion Mindset, 10X Ambition, One Nitex
Reinforce ownership, urgency, and learning through rituals, onboarding, and storytelling
Help build systems that reward impact and filter out mediocrity
4. Talent Strategy with a Founder Mentality
Build our long-term talent pipeline across key cities
Partner with founders to define org structure, compensation, and team design
Drive headcount planning based on real business needs, not HR guesswork
What You Bring
3–6 years in people/talent roles inside fast-scaling European startups (Seed to Series B/C ideally)
Track record of owning hiring and performance in a lean, high-speed environment
Experience working directly with founders or executive teams
Fluent in scrappy execution — can source, write job posts, fix comp bands, and mediate team tension in the same week
Strong judgment on talent. You know what “great” looks like, and you fight to hire and keep it.
A builder’s mindset — you default to action and iteration, not HR policy manuals
Comfortable in intensity. We move fast, set high bars, and expect extreme ownership.
