ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is part of the Operations department at Fourthline.
The Policy Expert plays a critical role in maintaining organizational knowledge and ensuring compliance within the company's operational framework. They act as the bridge between various departments, regulatory requirements, and operational teams across all stakeholders. Their main objective is to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance standards are consistently achieved through comprehensive policy governance.
The Policy Expert supports organizational excellence, drives documentation improvements, and ensures that knowledge accessibility and regulatory adherence are met or exceeded consistently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Documentation & Stakeholder Coordination
• Serve as single source of truth for operational knowledge and maintain structured documentation hub
• Act as primary liaison between partner teams, operations, technology, and compliance for existing or future projects.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer workshops and coordinate new partner onboarding
2. Policy & Procedure Governance
• Own lifecycle of policies, SOPs, CDD policies, and specialized documentation
• Facilitate change management processes
• Develop and update documentation with subject matter experts based on approved changes
• Enforce version control, approval workflows, and translation of complex processes into actionable guidance
3. Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
• Ensure documentation reflects latest legal, regulatory, and compliance standards (AML, GDPR)
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to maintain audit-ready materials
• Maintain change logs, audit trails, and enforce regular review cadences
4. Content Strategy & Performance Management
• Define documentation templates, style guides, and taxonomy for consistency
• Track success metrics for documentation effectiveness and stakeholder satisfaction
• Champion clarity and accessibility while supporting cost-efficient operations
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including AML (Anti-Money Laundering), GDPR, and compliance documentation standards.
• Excellent written communication with ability to translate complex processes into clear, actionable documentation.
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination abilities across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with documentation management systems, version control, and audit trail maintenance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of operational workflows, policy governance, and change management processes.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Contentful, Jira).
• Background in compliance, risk management, or financial services operations.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) applied to documentation workflows.
