Procurement Specialist - Renewable Energies (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities

  • Manage and close RFP processes and negotiation for EPC, BOS/BOP, main equipment (Modules, Structure, Inverters, WTG…) and other services.
  • Develops contracting strategies and processes for tendering Requests for Proposals (RFPs), reviewing and levelizing vendor proposals, and negotiating contracts that result in the best value possible.
  • Challenge scope specifications to determine where unnecessary costs can be eliminated, and more value can be achieved.
  • Accountability for negotiating key supply chain agreements as well as for maintaining relationships and mutual understanding with the key industrial suppliers at executive level.
  • Deal with claims mitigation and challenge cost disputes with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide forward looking guidance on trends, threats, and opportunities throughout the complete value/supply chain.
  • Identify new potential suppliers to create additional competitiveness and market tension.
  • Ensure that all purchase orders and contracts are placed in accordance with defined business processes.
  • Identifying and implementing profit improvement opportunities to create structural and sustained cost advantages.

Your qualifications

  • University Degree, preferably in technical and/or financial areas.
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years' experience in the renewables energy sector.
  • Experience in negotiation contracts EPC contractors and main suppliers.
  • Experience in managing complex Project RFP processes and leading negotiations.
  • Languages: Full fluency in the use of English and Spanish (both written and orally) considered a must. Portuguese, Italian or German considered as a plus.
  • Computer literate, experience of MS Office packages (in particular Excel).
  • Previous experience in procurement and market competitive analysis highly valuable.
  • Previous experience in large international tenders highly valuable.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
