Role Overview
As the Product Manager for Discovery and Progress, you'll play an instrumental role in enhancing the user experience of our Mondly product by focusing on the discoverability of new lessons and learning content. You will define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for this product-category, and drive initiatives that help improve navigation, engagement, discoverability and retention, bringing major upgrades for users. You will ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, and that they meet the business objectives.
Your blend of technical acumen, exceptional communication skills, and an eye for product design will enable you to work synergistically with our engineering, design, and business units. Your leadership in this area will be pivotal in shaping the future of language learning at Mondly.
Responsibilities
- Define product direction and strategies to meet customer needs, develop and execute product roadmap for the assigned product / product categories, including Learning Map Optimization, Information Architecture, Periodic Lesson, and Points and Levels system.
- Apply product lifecycle methodology and agile best practices to define strategies, aligning them with the overarching ELL strategy and portfolio level plans.
- Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap focused on content discovery and user progress tracking.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver product development and releases on time and on budget, including working with engineering to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Coordinate with teams such as technology, analytics, and business to set clear requirements around capabilities and content required for the product, and deliver successful products that meet the needs of users.
- Set up and maintain the workflow of features development, deciding on tools and solutions, investigating new techniques, and implementing them.
- Scale the team processes; improving release pipeline, build automation and monitoring.
- Conduct market and user research to identify trends, best practices, and competitor strategies in discoverability and progress tracking within language learning apps.
- Define and prioritise new features and enhancements that meet both business goals and user needs.
- Create product specifications, wireframes, and prototypes to clearly communicate the direction and vision of the product functionalities.
- Measure and analyze product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to drive future product decisions.
- Develop and manage the product backlog and ensure timely prioritisation of tasks, balancing technical and business requirements.
- Clearly articulate product strategy, updates, and key performance indicators to internal stakeholders and executives.
- Act as a product expert and communicate product vision, strategy and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, exploring new and emerging technologies and trends to inform product development and improve the user experience.

Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Computer science, Graphic Design, Engineering (or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and successful work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in product management focusing on consumer-facing applications, ideally in the EdTech or language learning domain.
- A proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to launch high-quality, scalable products within set timelines.
- Deep understanding of user-centred design principles and a strong ability to collaborate with design and UX teams.
- Exceptional skills in data analysis and experience using these skills to make informed product decisions.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior leadership.
- Strong technical foundation, enabling effective dialogue with engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Robust project management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects concurrently.
- Evident fluency in English, being confident in speaking, reading and writing communication.
