Job Description
SO/ Sotogrande, a luxury hotel located in the beautiful coastal town of Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our discerning guests while leading and motivating our restaurant staff.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Lead, train, and motivate the restaurant team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage staff scheduling, assignments, and performance evaluations
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe dining environment
- Assist in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient communication between front and back of house
- Monitor and maintain the quality of food and beverage service
- Implement and uphold SO/ Sotogrande's luxury hospitality standards
- Assist in organizing and executing special events and promotions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
- Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, including knowledge of Spanish and international cuisine
- Experience with wine pairing and beverage service
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Spanish is highly advantageous
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Current Food Safety Certification
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards and practices
