As a School Director, you oversee all campus operations and staff, ensuring students have a safe, enjoyable, and high-quality experience abroad. Leading the Málaga Campus team, you manage daily operations, staff development, and student welfare while maintaining EF’s standards of excellence. The role also involves budget and facility oversight, close collaboration with global sales offices, and strong partnerships with external suppliers. The School Director reports directly into the Regional Operations Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Compliance & Policy: Ensure best practices are followed at all times in line with EF policy, Spanish accreditation standards, and criteria.
Leadership: Act as an inspirational, forward-thinking, and dynamic leader: empowering staff in their roles, and ensuring effective management and professional development.
Performance Management: Set clear team and individual goals / KPIs, track progress, and drive results through strong team engagement and accountability.
Financial & Operational Management: Analyze cost drivers to maintain profitability; manage budgets and capacity effectively; and grow revenue and service areas across campus.
Safeguarding & Welfare: Take responsibility for the health, safety, and duty of care of all students and staff, ensuring policies are followed.
Customer Service: Deliver exemplary service, meet student feedback targets, and ensure timely resolution of issues, complaints, and disciplinary matters.
Accommodation & Facilities: Monitor residential and homestay capacity for seasonal and long-term growth and maintain facilities and residences to a high standard.
Supplier & Partner Relations: Negotiate effectively with suppliers and collaborate with external partners to meet agreed service standards.
Sales & Revenue Growth: Liaise with EF’s global sales network to support objectives; oversee in-school sales to maximize opportunities and exceed targets.
Flexibility & Additional Duties: Be available for some weekend work during peak times and share responsibility for the emergency phone duties.
What We’re Looking For:
Full fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
Full fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Previous experience in School Leadership and Campus management
A Bachelor’s Degree in: Teaching, Education Management, or other related field
All additional languages are a plus!
Someone who is approachable, friendly, and handles challenges with positivity!
Detail-oriented with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Experience living, working, or studying abroad is a plus!
