As our Scientist, you will be responsible for working in the laboratory, making paints and performing different types of tests for intumescent products. Your work will be mostly to support our business with the approval of alternative suppliers for raw materials and durability and compatibility testing Hempel’s intumescent products, both for cellulosic and hydrocarbon.
This role is based in our Passive Fire Protection R&D Centre of Excellence in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, near Barcelona (Spain). Our new office space and brand-new laboratories are a great environment for brilliant product development. In addition, we offer a flex work policy providing a better work-life balance.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including all Segment & Product Management, to support our business by increasing the competitiveness of our PFP product assortment and pushing the Hempel Passive Fire Protection segment to a market leader position. This is your opportunity to play a key role and influence the future success of our Passive Fire Protection R&D area.
What does it take to become our new team member?
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering or Chemistry).
- Experience in coatings and/or formulation is not necessary but can be valuable.
- Able to communicate in written and verbal English.
