We are looking for a Senior Footwear Designer who boldly lead and design Tropicfeel’s footwear category, driving innovation through visionary design and impeccable product execution, while cultivating a dynamic and collaborative team culture that propels the brand to new heights.

Your responsibilities 🚀
Product Design Creation: Creatively lead key footwear category. Create and develop footwear creative strategy and set a visionary direction for Tropicfeel's footwear collection, influencing market trends and elevating the brand's presence and lead Tropicfeel business forward.
Product Design Execution: Be responsible for execution of key financial and brand/category statements models. Finalize tech packages and proactively follow the execution of all product details: construction, color, form, style detail, fit performance, cost/value requirements, etc. Review all samples and clearly communicate changes to appropriate.
Product Planning: Plan product development ensuring that key financial and strategic objectives are met, as well as fit, performance, manufacturability, cost/margin, merchandising, aesthetic finish, and meeting of product creation timelines. Create new practices and processes that produce increased product value, sharing experience and knowledge with all involved areas to maintain a leadership position in product development.
Research: Serve as consumer expert for the category and design team. Apply insights from the consumer perspective into all product designs and strategy creation. Influence the category with knowledge and experience relating to the consumer, cultural trends, traveler lifestyle, environmental responsibility, sustainability, and functional needs. Stay up to date with travel industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving traveler preferences to drive innovation in footwear design. Participate in field research and immersion opportunities to enhance global perspective, grow the business, and promote global thinking.
Presentation & Communication: Assume a lead role in communicating creative strategies, product concepts and consumer insights to internal/external audiences. Effectively present category and initiative positions. Hone individual presentation skills to high level and contribute to the presentation excellence of the category. Communicate actively across the design function to advance the knowledge and connectivity of the group as a whole.
Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a creative and collaborative team environment when needed.
What are we looking for?🕵️
Confident using 3D footwear design tools like Rhino, Blender, and KeyShot to create great photorealistic renders.
Comfortable putting together tech packs and working closely with manufacturing partners around the world through samples and approvals.
Good at communicating in English, both spoken and written.
Around 5 to 6 years of experience in footwear design and development.
Experienced in developing tooling and choosing technical, sustainable materials.
