This job will be based in the Vulcain Engineering head office in Barcelona but there will be regular travel to the other Spanish group entities and to Paris.
The purpose of the Chief Financial Officer is to provide the focal point for all financial and legal Spanish accountancy aspects in Spain.
Duties and Responsibilities
The CFO is responsible for:
- Overseeing all Spanish companies as well as the Iplan entity in Colombia (currently 5 companies, 1 holding and 4 operating companies)
- Ensuring compliance with Spanish law and company’s and Group’s policies
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage
- Driving the company’s financial planning: annual budgeting and forecasting
- Preparing reliable reports and KPIs for Spanish businesses
- Consolidating reports and KPIs for Spain
- Liaising with Group Finance Team in France for Group reporting and embedding this into the Spanish teams
- Participation in the Board meetings for each entity
- Business and cost control
- Analysing variances and developing improvements
- Optimising cash flow and working Capital Requirement
- Managing the financial accounts and annual audit process, managing the relationship with Spanish & Colombian auditors
- Assistance with Spanish acquisition projects
- Integration of new Spanish acquisitions into reporting processes
- Implementation of reporting tools, processes and group strategies within the new subsidiaries
- Harmonization of accounting tools and procedures

Qualifications
Degree in Accountancy subject or Accountancy Qualification
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior finance role.
- Experience with various accounting systems and tools.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving change.
