The Opportunity
Nutanix is looking for an experienced compliance leader to build an international compliance presence and help lead global compliance programs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and to design and build a modern compliance program that can address the issues that Nutanix will face at-scale in the future. This role will report to the VP, Ethics & Compliance and will be the first Ethics & Compliance attorney outside the United States.
This role will be responsible for building Nutanix’s compliance program in the EMEA and APJ theatres and will require close collaboration and partnership with regional business leader, Finance, HR and Legal. This role will also proactively advise on, and help build, a best-in-class global compliance program. As needed, this role will also lead on internal investigations impacting the EMEA and APJ theatres in partnership with Nutanix Internal Investigations and other stakeholders.

Your Role
- Lead Nutanix’s EMEA and APJ Ethics & Compliance program.
- Enable and promote a strong culture of Ethics & Integrity.
- Build and continuously improve compliance programs, including the development of policies, procedures, controls and monitoring to ensure enterprise-wide compliance with applicable ethical and legal requirements.
- Provide advice and counsel on variety of compliance topics, including code of conduct, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, sanctions, import/export regulations, competition laws, and other compliance requirements applicable to Nutanix.
- Identify and integrate new technology and tools into Nutanix compliance processes, including artificial intelligence, data analytics and automation.
- Develop and deliver compliance training.
- As needed, conduct internal investigations relating to employee misconduct. Investigative tasks include planning the investigation, reviewing relevant documents and other evidence, conducting interviews, and writing investigation reports.
- Meet with senior- and executive-level managers to build awareness of Ethics & Compliance programs, and present on compliance initiatives, investigative findings and recommendations.
- Help identify areas of improvement and where necessary ensure that appropriate remedial actions are put in place across Nutanix to help prevent repeat violations.
- Collaborate regularly with members of the Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and other business partners.
What You Will Bring
- Strong ethics, integrity, and accountability with the ability to maintain independence and confidentiality.
- JD (or equivalent) degree and meets local legal license requirements.
- At least 10 years’ professional working experience in compliance or legal functions at a law firm, in-house or government.
- Experience operating in the region and in high-risk markets.
- Proven track record of partnering and collaborating with business and functional leaders to implement and manage compliance programs.
- Experience conducting complex and sensitive internal investigations involving allegations of employee misconduct, including fraud and embezzlement, conflicts of interest, misuse of confidential information, corruption, and improper revenue recognition.
- Experience with a technology company operating through a channel distribution model strongly preferred.
- Foreign language skills preferred.
