We are looking for an HR Business Partner to join our newly created head office in Madrid and play a central role in supporting our operations across Iberia. This is an opportunity to combine strategic impact with hands-on delivery, shaping how we attract, engage, and develop our people in a fast-paced, international environment.
As a trusted advisor, you’ll work closely with leaders and teams across multiple countries, building strong partnerships that help translate business goals into meaningful people strategies. You’ll play a key role in creating an inclusive and engaging workplace where individuals and teams can thrive, while also ensuring our practices remain compliant and future-ready.
The role offers exposure to the full spectrum of HR – from recruitment and onboarding, to employee relations, performance management, talent development, and HR policy. You’ll have the scope to influence big-picture strategy while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver practical, day-to-day solutions. It’s a chance to truly make an impact, contributing to Nido’s growth story and shaping the employee experience across Iberia.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
- Partner with managers to understand business priorities and provide HR solutions that enable performance and growth.
- Coach and support leaders on all people-related matters, including development, change management, and team performance.
- Champion an engaging and inclusive employee experience across all stages of the employee lifecycle
HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Act as the primary HR contact for our Iberian teams, building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Manage employee relations matters with fairness and discretion, including investigations, performance issues, and exit processes.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Lead and support recruitment processes in partnership with hiring managers, ensuring we attract and select the right talent.
- Develop onboarding experiences that reflect Nido’s culture and set new hires up for success from day one.
Performance & Talent Development
- Coordinate and monitor the performance review process, ensuring timely completion and meaningful outcomes.
- Identify training needs and implement initiatives to close skill gaps, foster career development, and build high-performing teams.
- Support managers in developing their leadership capabilities through coaching and mentoring.
Compliance & HR Policy
- Keep up to date with employment legislation in Iberia, ensuring Nido remains compliant across all jurisdictions.
- Draft, update, and roll out HR policies and procedures that are practical, relevant, and aligned with our values.
HR Data & Analytics
- Use HR data and analytics to identify trends, assess risks, and inform decision-making.
- Maintain accurate employee records and contribute to workforce planning and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
- 5-10 years of broad HR experience, ideally in an international or multi-country context.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish & Portuguese labour law; familiarity with other European jurisdictions is an asset (Germany and Italy)
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken); additional European languages are a plus (German and Italian)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems; a quick learner for digital tools.
- Successful background screening (e.g. Veremark) required.
